Rest in Peace our Fallen Brothers...
Silver Spur A Troop 3/17 Air Cav 2006 Reunion Memorial Service
Produced by fellow Spur, John "Waldo" Pepper for our 2006 Silver Spur reunion at Ft. Rucker, Alabama to honor all our fallen Silver Spurs from the Vietnam war from 1967-1972 who served our country and made the ultimate sacrifice. These brave Troopers are not forgotten by their Brothers-In-Arms!
The video also pays tribute to those 3-17th Cav Troopers killed in Iraq during their 2004 deployment.

From the lakes, from the hills,
From the skies,
All is well, safely rest.
God is nigh"

(*) These particular names do not appear on The Wall. Lists compiled from Unit Historical documents compiled at the time. These men were killed in a training accident prior to unit's deployment to the Republic of South Vietnam. The tenth man killed in the accident was WO Knoll's brother, from another unit.
(**) Richard K. Zimmerman was Silver Spur 6 at the time of his death.
(***) "Dinh" was a Chu hoi Scout who perished with Tauala.
Some spelling and middle initials have been corrected to match with the list on The Wall confirmed by date of loss.
Lists for 1970 thru 71 may be incomplete at this time. If you have additional information we would be grateful. Please e-mail any information to Roger "Bear" Young. My personal thanks to my fellow Spurs and and the VHPA who helped provide the above lists.
